You are invited to a big city culinary dining
experience with a small town feel and price.
Soon after Jason Ha introduced
the Korean-inspired Zip Fusion Sushi in 2002, his unconventional
little restaurant became the hit of the Arts District neighborhood
and later downtown. Dining was delicious. Dining was fun!
That's because Zip unveiled a homey style of hospitality and
inspired, original, signature dishes. Customers were able
to enjoy world class cuisine at very affordable prices because
of the innovative use of Asian and California ingredients
by the kitchen design team. Ha himself was honored by the
downtown community in 2004 for "taking a dark corner
and bringing light to it".
With the success of Zip under
their belts, founder Jason Ha and his Executive Chef, Sean
Ahn, were inspired to pioneer an exciting new direction for
the classic American steakhouse. Their plan remained simple:
Couple a hip and energetic ambience with a first class culinary
experience that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
How is it done? With the same
inspired innovation that sparked the Zip kitchen. This time
Ha and Ahn use traditional marinating techniques and preparation
on full flavor cuts of meat to unleash them into a new realm
of tender, juicy succulence. Creative? After all, e3rd is
located right n the heart of downtown L.A's art district;
home of true original creative force of downtown.
Along with exciting food, full bar, and exemplary service,
all of our guests will be also enjoy the monthly exhibit of
downtown artists presented on black charcoal board. E3rd is
proud to support the local arts community.
Come and visit us soon. Whether you are downtown for a day
or a lifetime, we hope East Third will be become a part of
your world.
You probably had to experience the showstopper Zip Fusion
