What is wrong incorrect erroneous using the X Factor?

The new show, the X Factor, which in fact had high ratings and unprecedented amounts of viewers, is clearly in difficulty. The amount of viewers for one night alone in October 2011 represented almost 50% of all of the people watching television at the moment. However, there’s been a dramatic drop in the viewing audience – almost by A million viewers. What has caused this huge drop? It seems that this is a case of the success of the show leading to its downfall.

Viewers need to see The X Factor – not ads

Using the huge number of viewers which are tuning directly into watch the show, the broadcaster designed a mistake in attempting to cash in on the popularity. More and more advertisements were crammed in to the time frame to ensure that viewers who watched the entire show actually saw more advertising than contestants. Common sense says that on the October 10 edition from the X Factor, there were seven minutes of the show and four minutes of advertising. Inside a show that lasted 150 minutes, 20% of it was adopted with advertising. The broadcaster definitely made money on this show and the advertisers got their message to more viewers, but what will be the end result?

What about losing Simon Cowell?

Many suspected that the X Factor would experience a loss of viewers following the departure of Simon Cowell among the judges. At the beginning of the season, Cowell said that being a judge about this show was the very best move he had ever made in his career. Things didn’t go because he planned, leaving many to wonder what is actually going on behind the scenes. The new judges on the program have proven to be a big hit with viewers, therefore the demise of Cowell didn’t seem to have the result that was suspected.

Comments through the judges modify the X Factor finalists

The judges were built with a hard time finding the right of the best to remain on the X Factor. However, the comments made by Louis in that he decided to vote for the person the public would like the best. Does this mean he did not vote for whom he thought was best but was just trying to please the viewers – perhaps to keep the viewers tuning in and therefore keeping the ratings high. The choices were not just according to one performance, which is a good thing because you can now have an off-night. Instead the judges did take the previous performances into consideration.

It is a well-known fact that viewers detest ads that interrupt any show they are watching on television. This is certainly the case with TheXFactor and the fact that there were so many ads about this show leaves many to wonder if the purpose of the show would be to present UK talent in order to make advertisers a lot of money. Since a spokesman for that show said that the ads were consistent with the guidelines of the entertainment industry, it remains to be seen how it will affect the future of the X Factor.
